Metroparks Bicycle Tour - Saturday July 18, 2026

THE METROPARKS BICYCLE TOUR offers you the opportunity to visit up to four scenic, wooded, Toledo Metroparks and view the historic Maumee River. There are three routes: a 15 mile route through Oak Openings; a 31 mile route to Fallen Timbers Monument, Oak Openings and Farnsworth Metroparks; and a 62 mile route which also goes to Secor Park. SAG service is available for emergencies or non-repairable breakdowns.

WHERE: The tour begins at Fallen Timbers Middle School at 6119 Finzel Rd. in Whitehouse, Ohio . From I-475, exit to US-24 towards the south west (towards Napoleon). At exit #63, take OH-64 toward Whitehouse. Finzel is the first right at the turning circle off OH-64. The school is 1 mile ahead on right.

WHEN: Saturday, July 18th. Registration from 7 to 10 am. Longer distance riders should start early.  Riders must complete their rides by 4 pm.

GPS FILES & MAPS: You can download GPS files and print maps from RideWithGPS once the routes are confirmed.  Printed maps will be available at the start.  

FOOD: Snack stops on all routes. Lunch for the 62 mile and 31 mile riders in the park along the beautiful, tranquil Maumee River at Farnsworth Metropark.

CHILDREN are encouraged to participate to the extent of their abilities. Parent or guardian must sign release form for riders under age 18. Those under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

HELMETS: All riders are required to wear an ANSI/Snell/CPSC approved helmet while riding.

SAFETY: Ohio law regards the bicycle as a vehicle. The same rules that apply to motorists also apply to bicyclists. This means riding WITH traffic, obeying all stop signs and traffic lights and giving hand signals to indicate turns. Be courteous to pedestrians and motorists and move to the right in single file to permit vehicles to pass. Your Safety is your responsibility.

REGISTRATION: Pre-register on-line by midnight Thursday, July 16th: 15 mile - $15 & 31/64 mile - $35. Day-of registration will be available at a higher fee: 15 mile - $20 & 31/62 mile - $40. Pre-register to save money and help us plan in advance!
